Red is often a favorite color choice for home stagers due to it's powerful ability to direct the eye. Successful stagers know how to incorporate red artwork and accessories to capture buyers attention without overwhelming a space. There is a fine line between highlighting the features of a room and creating a chaotic look by incorporating too many red accents.
Consider 2 vacant living rooms my company recently staged using strategically placed red accents to draw the eye and enhance the focal points.

The red in these pictures really make it pop. YOU did a great job. However in the home that I staged, or had staged- we had to take the poinsetta's out. They just didn't look good anymore.
red is always powerful, if done right, you did a great job, just right. I have seen some of other pictures too, you are doing it so well. Love simple lines, and clean look.

Both Rooms look fantastic! I love the clean elegant look with the red pop. In the short time that I have been doing this I have added the Red touch too, and it really does seem to finish the job and make the pictures stand out.
... and with this we see Jackson West move from his elegant blue period into his evocative red phase, one better than the next. Where will this hot young designer go next? No one knows for sure but we can be certain it will be tasteful and stylish.
Jackson: I always look forward to seeing photos of your work. You have such a great eye and your after photos always look stunning. I am in my orange phase right now. I had a buyer who wanted to buy one of my staging projects furnished, so there went all my red silk throw pillows, throws and accessories. Oh well. Keep up the beautiful work.
Jackson: You know I'm one of your biggest fans. Wish I lived in an area that looked for those great clean lines when staging. I'm into the orange thing right now, like Michelle. Any color done correctly can make an incredible impact...incredible + excellence my friend.
Judy, thanks for checking out my blog. Poinsettias, although a great color, seem overly seasonal to me and could "date" the photos.
Shobha, thank you for the compliment, "less is often more" as they say.
Duncan, welcome to AR! Great chatting with you on the phone. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
Maureen, you're hired...any chance I could get a voice over of your comment on my website? That is probably the best comment I have ever received on AR. Thank you!!!
Michelle, coming from you that is a huge compliment. I aspire to your divine style. Sounds like it's time to go shopping and restock the red!
Renee, amazing how much color brings life and attention to a room. I bought 4 orange canvases a couple months ago and I am dying to use them!
Your work is always stunning, Jackson.
Like Michelle, I'm in an orange phase as well. However, next week I'll be using blue as an accent color. I'm looking forward to it as it will definitely be something different.
Kathy
I am in a red phase also, not only in my staging but in my own home as well..love the choices that you made.
Thanks, Jackson! After your post and the ones on the red couches, I realize I need to invest in some RED! I also noticed the red in the fire! Julie
Thanks again for sharing your expertise, Jackson. Eye candy for the stagers!
Kathy

:)
Your work is always a delight to see. Clean, timeless and appealing design. Thank you for sharing!
Jackson, your photo's look very nice, like the way you placed the red to boss the eyeballs around
Jackson, Great job, I love red and right it really draws the eye to the feature. Love the red art above the fireplace.
Gotta luv the red! It really makes a room pop and stands out from everything else that is so neutral.
Jackson - I love that artwork in the 2nd photo. You always do an amazing job!
Jackson, Beautiful clean lines and the red just pops! Great job!
Jackson both of the rooms are just stunning! Your pops of red are in all the right places. I aspire to be you. Betty
You do such great work, I hope I grow up to be like you ;)
Cheers,
Cindy
Hey Jackson
I "red" this post with great interest as a property I completed at the weekend had red and orange accents throughout and it was terrific to work with these colours for a change. I have started stocking my inventory with more red accessories to work with more subtle sofas and some darker timber occassional furniture.
Well done on these rooms, they look as if they are "reddy" to go on the market!
OK, I'll stop the exceptionally bad puns now...
Jackson- you know how I feel about your work! The red looks amazing and you displayed that you know just how to use it!
Beautifully done. Sophisticated and classy. I agree, the artwork in the second room looks awesome. I'm always inspired.

Jackson Red is definetly a magnet my eye immediately went there when I looked at you pictures ... interestingly enough the black did not do the same even though it is a direct contrast to the white.
Jackson - very eye catching - I just repainted a very small 2pc bath that had been painted with a featherd look (white backgroud with red featherd strokes over) The first comment on the new colour was "There's no drama now"

I've never been a red person but am slowly coming around! Your staging looks great and certainly not to much red, clean and simple yet eye catching! I am going to invest in some red accessories for staging purposes after seeing how great it looks.. even though it scares me a little!
