During a recent business trip to Toronto I became enamored with the abundance of historical buildings juxtaposed against the soaring, modern skyline. Talk about curb appeal! I didn't have much time away from work however I did manage to take more than 300 architectural photos (mostly drive by).
These are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy them. My apologies if they require an extra minute to load but I think it will be worth the wait!

Jackson West is the lead designer for Reveal Estate Home Staging in Vancouver, BC. When he is not busy staging properties, teaching or filming he can be found out and about with his trusty Kodak in hand.

Jackson- I think you are a great photographer. Amazing pictures!
I love the pictures. You do have an eye for detail! I too love photography and I love Vancouver.
Jackson ~ Apparently you have quite the eye that goes beyond staging! These pictures are all great and I can see why you were taken with this architecture.
I think you could have another career here!! I'm just not surprised though....
BTW, I hope you enjoyed Toronto....
Cindy, Thanks for stopping by and having a look. Your kind words are appreciated.
Norma, Photography is something I have really gotten in to although I can't shoot people worth a darn! Vancouver is awesome, I just wish we had more of a heritage district here.
Kathy, I was truly amazed with the incredible detail of many of the churches and historic buildings. I was fortunate that it was sunny during my visit in order to capture some good light and shadows.
Melissa, I worked very long days in Toronto but I met some great people and thoroughly enjoyed the city. I absolutely love staging but part of me is very tempted to trade my inventory for some top of the line camera equipment and a plane ticket to Europe!
Nice images....some of the vignetting is a little over the top for my taste, by the comps are wonderful. Nice use of PS in there as well.
Hi Jackson - You obviously have a real talent for photography too. These photos are absolutely stunning. My favorites are 1, 4 and 11. I'm re-blogging it simply because I love the images.
Andrew, You are an amazing photographer and I appreciate your feedback. Still learning as I go here.
Sandi, I am blushing. Thanks so much for pointing out your favorites and for hooking up my first re-blog! I got an email from somebody wanting to buy a print of #11 this morning. Believe it or not that photo was taken just before sun down with a longtime exposure setting.
Jackson.... WOW..doesn't cover what you have here. Your talent is a special gift! I recently was in Europe and took some architectural pictures as well, that to me were breathtaking! They certainly in no way compare to the beauty that your eye captured in Toronto. Thank you for sharing the beauty.
Hi Kym,
Thanks for taking a look and for your kind words. One of these days I will make it to Europe with my camera!
Jackson, these architectural photos are delicious! A feast for the eyes... I love the heritage buildings in Ontario, too. It's what I miss the most.
Simply Stunning Jackson! You have many talents. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photographs.
Jackson, you are the man! What lovely images! And I love what you've done with your profile picture too - the tie is brilliant! Can you teach me, you taught me so well on nvu... you are my guru... I have this black and white I use as my profile picture... wonder what I could color??? my earrings? my shirt? my hair? probably not... oh well, well yours looks great!
Jackson, beautiful pictures!! You really should think about matting and framing some of those. They are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing with us.
Now I have to go to Toronto...(I just returned from Vancouver, but I see you an Sharon had left town while I was there! =o) GREAT shots...depth and color, mystery and beauty...
